Lead Investigator
Kasey E. Nelson, LPI
The founder of The Intelligence Co., Kasey Nelson, has 14 years of combined education and experience in the legal industry in primarily focused in areas of law that require investigations the most—insurance defense, personal injury, criminal defense, real estate, probate, and more. Despite her diverse legal background, her passion has always been rooted in defense work — particularly criminal defense and insurance defense. Seeking to expand beyond the confines of an office, she became a licensed professional investigator in 2021 and started her own private investigation and litigation support company.
Over the years, Kasey's dedication to her career drove her to further her education. She completed her certificate in paralegal studies and earned a bachelor's degree in justice studies from the University of Maine (Augusta). Her passion and academic achievements gained her admission to the University of Maine School of Law, where she is expected to graduate with a Juris Doctor in 2027. Her ultimate goal is to establish her own law practice specializing in defense work, including criminal defense, insurance defense, occupational licensure defense, and protection from abuse (PFA) defense.
In the meantime, Kasey remains committed to her career in truth-seeking and assisting those most impacted by procedural and systemic barriers within our court system.
